Introducing exclusive insights and analyses for The Business Times subscribers.
The Business Times (BT) has unveiled its first subscriber-only newsletter, Big Money, which focuses exclusively on the financial markets. Launched on May 27, 2024, this new offering is designed to provide subscribers with in-depth analysis of market developments and trends.
Written by Joan Ng, a senior correspondent and former news editor at BT, Big Money aims to deliver weekly insights that can enhance subscribers’ understanding of the financial landscape. Ng emphasizes the newsletter’s goal, stating, “Making money in financial markets requires eyes and ears to collect information, and multiple perspectives from which to assess it. The more perspectives you have, the more useful your intelligence will be.”
Big Money is a significant addition to BT’s expanding portfolio of newsletters, which already includes various offerings that address topics like ESG, property, and economic insights tailored for younger audiences. This initiative aligns with BT’s strategy to enhance the value of its subscription package, with plans for more subscriber-only newsletters to be introduced later this year.
Chan Cheow Pong, BT’s executive editor, highlighted the importance of this move: “Beyond curating a lineup of our stories and offering analyses of the latest business news, BT’s newsletters are also a means for us to encourage our readers and subscribers to develop a habit of reading BT’s journalism.” He added that this email connection allows for deeper engagement with readers, aiding in content improvement.
Subscribers are encouraged to sign up to receive Big Money in their inbox every Monday morning, along with access to all premium content provided by BT. This launch is part of BT’s commitment to becoming more audience-centric while delivering valuable insights tailored to the needs of its readers.
