Students Demonstrate Resilience Amid Pandemic Challenges
Yew Chung International School of Hong Kong (YCIS Hong Kong) is proud to announce remarkable accomplishments in this year’s International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) results. Despite the disruptions caused by the pandemic, YCIS students exhibited exceptional adaptability and resilience.
On August 18, the school congratulated its Year 11 students for their outstanding IGCSE results from the June 2022 examination series. Among the notable achievements, 15 students attained 10 A grades (A* and A), with three students earning straight A*s. Additionally, 27 other students received 9 or more A grades, while the overall performance of YCIS students in the IGCSE exams was commendable.
Out of the 148 students who took the exams, 87% were awarded distinctions or merits. Highlights from the exams conducted in May and June 2022 include:
15 students received 10 A grades (A* and A), with 3 achieving straight A*s.
27 students obtained 9 A grades (A* and A).
A total of 148 Year 11 students participated in the IGCSE exams.
73 Distinction awards were given.
56 Merit awards were conferred.
49% of all subjects taken received A* to A grades.
87% of all subjects taken were graded A* to C.
