Swift Humanitarian Aid Delivered as Over 34 Million People Affected by Flooding
China has extended crucial aid to Pakistan following severe flooding that submerged one-third of the country and affected over 34 million people. In response to an appeal from the Pakistani Embassy, China mobilized material, financial, and technical resources to assist in the recovery efforts.
China’s Support Includes: China provided over 4,000 tents, 50,000 blankets, and waterproof canvas, with ongoing aid including 200 metric tons of vegetables. Additionally, technical consultations were conducted to aid Pakistan’s weather forecasting efforts. Chinese citizens, companies, and NGOs have also contributed by rebuilding infrastructure and providing medical supplies.
This assistance reflects the long-standing friendship between China and Pakistan, often referred to as an “iron brotherhood.”
