Lifebuoy Partners with Doctor Anywhere to Promote Preventive Healthcare in Singapore

The partnership aims to educate and engage one million Singaporeans on proactive health improvement by 2025.

On November 14, 2022, Lifebuoy, the world’s leading hygiene soap brand, officially joined forces with Doctor Anywhere (DA), a regional health provider, to promote preventive healthcare in Singapore. The partnership was launched at a ceremony held at Unilever’s APAC headquarters in Singapore.

In alignment with Singapore’s “Healthier SG” strategy announced by the Ministry of Health earlier this year, this partnership seeks to guide Singaporeans toward better health habits. Lifebuoy, with its extensive household reach, and DA, with its digital healthcare expertise, aim to support Singapore’s shift toward proactive healthcare by reshaping health-related behaviors and lifestyles.

The partnership’s three-year plan includes a goal to educate one million Singapore residents on preventive care and to provide healthcare services to 10,000 vulnerable individuals by 2025. The first on-ground event took place on November 12 at Jalan Besar Community Club, where over 120 health screenings were conducted, alongside educational activities for children on handwashing and hygiene.

Ms. Denise Phua, Mayor of Central Singapore District, praised the partnership, stating that it aligns with Singapore’s vision of enhancing preventive healthcare access for its citizens.

Lifebuoy’s Global Lead, Poh Khim Yin, emphasized that this collaboration with DA marks an evolution in the brand’s mission, extending from hygiene products to telehealth services. Lifebuoy’s behavior change programs have reached millions globally, and this initiative aims to further empower Singaporeans to prioritize prevention in their health journeys.

Lim Wai Mun, Founder and CEO of Doctor Anywhere, highlighted that Singaporeans’ growing embrace of digital health presents an opportunity to rethink healthcare management, especially as the country faces rising chronic disease and an aging population.
