Strategic Environmental Vision

Under its “Living harmoniously with the earth to secure the future” policy within NEC’s 2030VISION, the corporation prioritizes decarbonization and sustainability within its 2025 Mid-term Management Plan. NEC’s strategic focus includes developing solutions to support a decarbonized society, address climate change, and safeguard essential resources like water and food.

As part of its commitment, NEC signed the “Business Ambition for 1.5°C Pledge” in October 2021, aiming to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire supply chain by 2050. NEC is working to accelerate these goals, potentially achieving net-zero by 2040, a decade ahead of schedule.
