Dominant performance capitalizes on Palace’s red cards and moves Fulham up the standings.
Fulham secured a decisive 3-0 victory against Crystal Palace on Monday, propelling them to eighth place in the Premier League standings. The match saw Palace reduced to nine men, with Tyrick Mitchell receiving a red card in the first half, followed by James Tomkins’ dismissal after a second booking in the second half.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Tim Ream, and Aleksandar Mitrovic each found the net for Fulham. The match kicked off with Palace striker Jordan Ayew hitting the bar, but Fulham quickly took control. De Cordova-Reid opened the scoring by glancing in a cross from Mitrovic after intercepting a poor pass from Joachim Andersen.
Mitchell’s red card came shortly after, following a reckless tackle on Kenny Tete, severely diminishing Palace’s chances. Tomkins was sent off for pushing Mitrovic, leaving Palace with just nine players on the pitch.
Fulham capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Ream scoring his first Premier League goal at the age of 35 to extend the lead. Mitrovic later added a third, heading in a cross from Willian, marking his tenth league goal of the season. Fulham now sits at 22 points after 16 matches, while Crystal Palace is left in 11th place with 19 points from 15 games.
