New Facility Aims to Foster Collaboration and Innovation in Smart Energy Solutions
On September 23, 2022, CHINT, a global leader in smart energy solutions, officially unveiled its advanced Asia Pacific Innovation Lab and Headquarters in Singapore. This facility is set to evolve into the company’s Global Headquarters in the near future.
The Asia Pacific Innovation Lab is designed to provide businesses, governments, academics, and communities with an interactive space to explore and be inspired by CHINT’s innovative solutions. It features cutting-edge technologies such as electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, intelligent water systems, and photovoltaics, catering to various sectors including the built environment, data centers, industrial applications, and smart cities.
Spanning 400 square meters, this Innovation Lab is CHINT’s inaugural facility in the Asia Pacific region, allowing customers to engage in live demonstrations and simulations as part of proof-of-concept initiatives.
Through this lab, CHINT aims to collaborate with industry stakeholders to develop customized solutions that address unique business and environmental challenges, ultimately contributing to a smarter and more sustainable Asia Pacific. The lab also seeks to tackle industry challenges like Remote Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
The establishment of the Asia Pacific Headquarters signifies CHINT’s commitment to generating new job opportunities across the region. The company has a long-standing dedication to nurturing top talents, including engineers and research scientists, to innovate and create future-proof smart energy solutions.
The launch event featured prominent guests, including Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ms. Low Yen Ling, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Singapore, Her Excellency Sun Haiyan. Other notable attendees included Mr. Lim Tse Yong from the Singapore Economic Development Board and Dr. Thomas Chai from Singapore Polytechnic.
During the event, Ms. Bei Bei, Vice President of CHINT Global, emphasized the lab’s mission to enhance support for industry partners in the region. She noted that the Asia Pacific Headquarters will assist local offices in over 20 countries, ensuring both regional and in-country support for CHINT’s clients.
Johnson Luu, Marketing Director for Asia Pacific at CHINT, highlighted that the Innovation Lab aims to create a collaborative environment for innovation alongside industry partners. He stated that the lab will address the increasing demand for renewable energy, sustainability, and digital transformation—key issues for today and the future.
