Local Actress Shares Heartbreak After Car Is Damaged by Unknown Culprit
Local actress Cynthia Koh, 48, is speaking out after her car was vandalized while parked in a private estate on April 6. In a series of Instagram Stories, the actress revealed that her car had been subjected to “very long and deep scratches” and a punctured tyre.
Koh showed the damage to her followers, noting that the scratches were severe and couldn’t be polished out, suggesting they were made with a key or another sharp object. Additionally, her tyre was punctured, forcing her to drive to a nearby petrol station with a flat tyre, where she found the attempt to fill it ineffective.
She described the ordeal: “By the time I went to the nearest petrol station, I knew I was in trouble,” adding that she had to call a tow truck at 10:30 pm because she was unable to drive further. She also mentioned that her car had been parked at the private estate between 2 pm and 6 pm and this was her first time in that area.
Koh expressed her frustration and sadness over the incident, stating, “Looks like it’s done with a key or something very sharp,” and added that it’s not about her being a celebrity or the car she drives but rather the mean-spiritedness behind the act. She suspects the culprit may be male, as it would take significant strength to puncture a thick tyre.
The actress also shared her emotional response: “I don’t understand why this person is so mean… If you are a car owner, you will know how upset I am. It’s not about fixing the car, it’s about how sickening these people can be to think it’s okay to do this to others.”
Cynthia Koh has filed a police report and warned the culprit that if they are reading her posts, she is “open to settling this privately.” However, she made it clear that if the matter isn’t resolved privately, she is confident the police investigation will bring the offender to light.
The actress’s post has sparked support from fans and fellow netizens, who have expressed their sympathy for her and their anger at the malicious act.
