SINGAPORE, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Global life sciences leader Cytiva has introduced its BioChallenge competition across Southeast Asia, targeting small to medium-sized biotech companies in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The initiative aims to accelerate growth for biotechs in cell engineering, process development, isolation, and purification. Winners of the competition can receive up to SG$200,000 in FastTrak™ services to help them scale up efficiently, reduce risks, and decrease time to market.
Launched in 2018, Cytiva’s BioChallenge has already supported over 130 projects globally, providing over four million USD in products and services. In Southeast Asia, Cytiva further supports the biotech sector through its Cytiva Experience Learning Lab (CELL) in Singapore, which has conducted over 70 training sessions on advanced bioprocessing techniques since 2021.
According to Firman Ghouze, Marketing Director at Cytiva Asia Pacific, smaller biotech companies are driving innovation in biologics. The BioChallenge addresses these companies’ talent, resource, and scalability constraints, fostering collaboration and open innovation with governments, institutions, and think tanks.
