Despite Cast Uncertainty, Enthusiasts Wait Hours for a Glimpse of Kim Go-eun
On July 3, Robinson Road and several side streets were closed from 7am to 4pm for the filming of the upcoming K-drama Little Women. While it was unclear if stars like Kim Go-eun, Wi Ha-jun, and Uhm Ji-won would appear, around 50 eager fans and AsiaOne entertainment reporters waited in anticipation.
At 8am, about 15 vehicles rehearsed driving along the road, and a battered open-top container truck was spotted on McCallum Street. Around 10am, a woman dressed similarly to Kim Go-eun’s character was seen, but it turned out to be her stunt double. The crew confirmed that the celebrities wouldn’t be involved in this part of the shoot.
Though tempted to leave, we stayed near Oxley Tower for a few more hours and were rewarded with the day’s highlight—though no spoilers, we will say a loud bang echoed through the set.
Finally, just before 3pm, Kim Go-eun, who had celebrated her 31st birthday the day before, arrived with her entourage. After a quick briefing and a shoe change, she dove into her scenes, which remained under wraps.
In just 30 minutes, her part was done, concluding a seven-hour wait for fans eager to see the star. The Little Women crew, in Singapore since June 29, is expected to continue filming for another two weeks, though it remains uncertain when the Korean actors will return.
