A platform for businesses to explore digital upskilling and growth opportunities.
Companies looking to understand how digitalisation can drive business transformation and relevance are invited to attend the SkillsFuture Forum 2023 on July 4. The forum, titled “Digital Upskilling for Business and Career Growth,” is organized by SkillsFuture Singapore in collaboration with The Business Times and will take place at the Lifelong Learning Institute in Paya Lebar.
Minister for Education Chan Chun Sing will be the guest of honour and deliver the opening speech. The panel will feature four distinguished speakers: Tan Kok Yam, chief executive of SkillsFuture Singapore; Lee Hui Li, managing director of Microsoft Singapore; Lee Kian Chong, CEO of hospitality group Deli in the Park; and Aslam Sardar, CEO of the Institute for Human Resource Professionals. The panel discussion will be moderated by Christopher Lim, associate editor (product) of The Business Times.
The forum marks the commencement of this year’s SkillsFuture Festival, which runs from July 4 to August 18. The festival will include a variety of events—physical, online, and hybrid—tailored for individuals and businesses alike.
Notable activities during the festival include a roadshow at Suntec City from July 7 to July 9, where attendees can learn about in-demand jobs and skills and connect with training partners to identify suitable courses. Another roadshow in partnership with Amazon Web Services will be hosted at VivoCity from July 14 to July 16, focusing on cloud computing insights from industry experts.
Additional offerings will comprise a financial-sector jobs and skills fair available in both online and offline formats, as well as a webinar discussing the impact of artificial intelligence and extended reality on learning, training, and collaboration across various sectors.
