GWM (Great Wall Motors) successfully held its 2022 Overseas Conference in Thailand on December 2, bringing together over 200 distributors from more than 50 countries to discuss the company’s global new energy strategy. The conference provided a comprehensive overview of GWM’s new energy products, technologies, and its strategic vision for expansion in international markets.

The event focused on GWM’s achievements in the ASEAN market, where it has developed a complete new energy industry chain. In Thailand, the company has launched a variety of new energy vehicles, including HEVs (Hybrid Electric Vehicles), PHEVs (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles), and BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles). At the Rayong new energy plant, GWM has established a “forest ecosystem” that integrates production, intelligent products, charging services, and user lifestyles, setting a model for future regional transformations.

As of November 2022, GWM had delivered over 13,000 new energy vehicles in Thailand, with the HAVAL H6 HEV dominating the C-class SUV market for 15 consecutive months. GWM’s success in Thailand serves as a key component of its broader ASEAN and global expansion plans.

Vice President Parker Shi emphasized that GWM’s progress in Thailand offers valuable lessons for its global clean energy strategy. The company is rapidly expanding into Europe, with the WEY Coffee 01 and ORA FUNKY CAT models launched in markets like Germany. GWM also aims to expand into Spain, Sweden, and South America, where it recently upgraded its factory in Brazil.

Globally, GWM has established a network of 700 dealerships across 170 countries and regions, with overseas sales exceeding 1 million vehicles. Between January and October 2022, new energy vehicle sales surpassed 100,000 units.

Looking ahead, GWM plans to continue promoting its global new energy strategy, focusing on developing products that meet the evolving green travel needs of users worldwide, while providing clean and smart driving experiences.
