The Model Feared Suffocation and Faced Costume Struggles
Heidi Klum made headlines with her elaborate worm costume at her annual Halloween party, but the model revealed that wearing the outfit came with unexpected challenges. Klum, 49, admitted she was worried about suffocating while in the costume, asking her husband, Tom Kaulitz, to ensure she wasn’t left lying face down. “I just said to my husband, ‘Please don’t leave me flat on my face and suffocate’,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
Klum also explained that the costume made her hot and sweaty, and she struggled to hear her surroundings due to the tight, muffled fit. “It’s all tight in there and it’s boiling hot… it’s dripping, dripping, dripping,” she said, adding that the costume restricted her ability to scratch or gesture.
Despite the discomfort, Klum’s main goal was to bring joy, and she succeeded in making people laugh with her unusual costume. “That just makes me happy, that I could put a smile on everyone’s faces,” she shared.
Fellow America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel described the costume as “scary” and joked that it contradicted the idea that Klum could look good in anything. While the costume wasn’t glamorous, it certainly made a lasting impression at the Halloween event.
