Lany Faces Mixed Reactions for ‘Stunt’ on Baggage Carousel at Changi Airport

Band Members Criticized and Defended for Instagram Post Ahead of Singapore Concert

While American pop rock band Lany captivated audiences at their A November to Remember tour performance in Singapore on November 7, not everyone was impressed by their antics at Changi Airport. Ahead of their concert, the band posted an Instagram story showing members Paul Klein and Jake Goss standing on a moving baggage carousel.

The video quickly spread to Reddit, where netizens were divided over the stunt. Some criticized the band for acting irresponsibly, with one user commenting, “Adults acting like kids…this is what people look for in entertainment nowadays?”

Others saw the act as harmless, noting that no real damage was done. One commenter urged, “Let them have their fun lah,” while another speculated that the band might have gotten permission from airport authorities to film the video.

Despite the backlash, Lany’s Singapore concert at the National Stadium was well-received, and the band has since moved on to their next stop in Jakarta. The incident has sparked conversation about celebrity behavior in public spaces, with opinions split on whether such stunts are playful or inappropriate.
