The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has announced a decrease in the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for the period from November 2022 to January 2023. Overall, the quota will drop by 13.73%, reducing available COEs from 10,581 to 9,128. Passenger car COEs in categories A, B, and E will see reductions ranging from 11% to 16%. LTA’s new method of calculating quotas, using the preceding six months’ deregistrations, aims to limit large fluctuations in the quota and potentially stabilize COE prices.
