Fast-food giant launches limited-edition blind boxes and themed meals ahead of A Minecraft Movie premiere.

Fans eagerly awaiting A Minecraft Movie, set to hit cinemas on 3 April, have another reason to celebrate—McDonald’s is introducing a special collection of limited-edition blind box collectibles.

According to a press release on Friday (21 March), the fast-food chain is unveiling six exclusive figures inspired by McDonaldland characters with a unique Minecraft twist. Starting 27 March, customers can receive one collectible with each purchase of a McDonald’s 12 Minecraft Movie Meal, which includes a main dish, Smoky BBQ McShaker Fries (large), and a medium Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.

The meal selection features favourites like the Double Cheeseburger and McSpicy, along with the return of the Creamy Mushroom Double Cheeseburger, now part of the Minecraft-themed menu.

For those with a sweet tooth, McDonald’s is also launching new desserts: Cotton Candy Cone, Cotton Candy Hot Fudge Sundae, and Cotton Candy Oreo McFlurry. Meanwhile, the refreshing Tangerine Freeze joins the drink selection.

Customers keen on collecting all six blind box figures have an extra option. Members of the MyMcDonald’s app can redeem a special Minecraft Collector Box for 2,500 MyM Rewards points, available from 1 April at 11am, while stocks last.

Beyond the blind box series, McDonald’s is also offering Minecraft Happy Meal toys featuring fan-favourite characters like Steve, Creeper, and Brown Sheep. With two designs released per week over a five-week period, these toys will be available from 27 March to 30 April, subject to availability.
