Over 1,300 BTO Flats with Three-Year Wait Times to Be Released in June

Additional 2,800 Shorter-Waiting-Time Flats to Be Offered in 2024

In June, a total of 1,352 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats will be available in Woodlands and Tampines, with expected waiting times of about three years. The Housing & Development Board (HDB) announced that the project “Marsiling Peak I,” comprising 791 units in Woodlands, boasts the shortest wait time of two years and eleven months.

This launch marks the first instance of shorter-waiting-time flats, defined as those with less than three years of waiting, available in 2024. The Tampines GreenTopaz project, located near the Tampines West MRT station, offers 561 flats with a wait time of three years and one month.

In total, more than 2,800 flats with shorter wait times are slated for release in 2024, with over 2,000 expected to be offered in an upcoming sales exercise in October. HDB had previously committed to launching 2,000 to 3,000 of these flats annually until 2025 and is now ahead of schedule in fulfilling this promise.

The HDB has indicated its intention to adjust its construction program to increase the proportion of flats with waiting times of four years or less in future releases.

The “Marsiling Peak I” project will feature two-room flexi, three, four, and five-room flats situated along Admiralty Road and Marsiling Lane. It consists of three blocks that will range from 31 to 35 storeys high, designed to offer views of nearby parks and the Straits of Johor.

Nearby amenities include a neighborhood market, a food center, the Causeway Point shopping complex, and recreational spaces like Admiralty Park. The project is strategically located about 2 km from both Woodlands and Woodlands North MRT stations.

In addition to the units in Woodlands, the June sales exercise will see the launch of 1,590 flats in total, including options for three-generation units. The final sales launch of 2024 is scheduled for October, where a new classification system categorizing flats into Prime, Plus, or Standard categories will take effect.
