Teenagers Film ‘Stupid Prank’ at McDonald’s, Leave Elderly Staff to Clean Up

A viral video shows teens creating a mess and abandoning it for staff to clear, sparking outrage online

A group of teenagers created chaos at a McDonald’s outlet at Punggol Safra, engaging in what they described as a ‘stupid prank,’ which left an elderly staff member to clean up their mess. The incident, captured in a Facebook video shared on May 1, has drawn widespread criticism from the public.
In the video, one of the teenagers can be seen walking from the counter with two cups of water, pouring them all over himself after removing his face mask. Meanwhile, two girls in the group filmed the bizarre act. After the prank, the group quickly ran out of the fast food restaurant without clearing their trays or cleaning up the mess they created.
The caption accompanying the video mentioned that another boy had slapped his face with an ice cream before tossing it on the floor, further adding to the disorder. The elderly staff member, identified as a worker at the restaurant, was left to clean up after the teens’ actions, drawing sympathy and outrage from netizens.
One commenter remarked, “The poor old uncle had to clean after their mess. On top of that, they did not clear their trays.” Another user expressed frustration, saying, “Stupidity has no cure,” highlighting the senselessness of the prank.
Some netizens speculated that the teenagers were attempting to film the prank for a viral social media video, a common trend among youth seeking online fame. However, the incident has sparked a broader conversation about respect, accountability, and the treatment of service workers. The video has since gone viral, with many people condemning the behavior and urging greater responsibility from young people in public spaces.
