Veteran Actor Kenneth Tsang Passes Away at 87 in Hong Kong Quarantine Hotel

The Beloved Actor Was Found Unconscious, Police Investigating Cause of Death

Hong Kong veteran actor Kenneth Tsang has passed away at the age of 87. The actor had recently traveled from Singapore to Hong Kong on April 25 and was staying at a quarantine hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. After testing negative for Covid-19 the following day, Tsang was found unconscious in his hotel room when a health ministry employee attempted to check on him.
Paramedics arrived at 12:14 p.m. and declared him dead at the scene. The cause of death is currently under investigation by the police. Reports indicate that Tsang had experienced chest pains the previous night and had contacted his daughter. His son-in-law sent him medicine, though it is unclear whether Tsang received it before his passing.
Tsang’s wife, actress Chiao Chiao, is reportedly coping with the loss, while close friends like actor Bowie Wu expressed disbelief at the news. Known for his roles in iconic TVB dramas and local shows such as The Teochew Family and The New Adventures of Wisely, Tsang was a familiar and beloved figure in Hong Kong entertainment.
