Youth and Man Exchange Insults in Heated Text Dispute Over Job Inquiry

Job Seeker’s Request for Directions Sparks Argument, Escalating to Personal Attacks

A text conversation between a 23-year-old woman and a man over a flyer distributor job took a nasty turn, leading to both parties exchanging insults. Stomp contributor Farhana, who was inquiring about the job, shared screenshots of the conversation in which the exchange quickly escalated.
Farhana, who lives in Bukit Merah, initially asked about the job location and mentioned that she preferred Tiong Bahru for its proximity to her home. The man responded by implying she wasn’t fit for the job if she needed detailed instructions, sparking a heated argument.
In the texts, the man taunted her, saying, “No wonder at 23 still no job,” and even made an inappropriate remark, suggesting she should “go to the top floor and jump down.” Farhana fired back with her own insults before blocking him.
Farhana shared her frustration, saying, “I didn’t want to curse him, but he started it. I even threatened to sue him after he was rude on the phone.” She hopes to raise awareness about the incident and how disrespectful behavior can unfold in job inquiries.
